
Pecan Oil Biscuits

Light, fluffy, and subtly nutty—these biscuits are perfect with honey, jam, or gravy.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup pure pecan oil
- ¾ cup cold buttermilk (plus extra for brushing tops)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Pour in the pecan oil and stir until crumbly.
- Add buttermilk and stir just until the dough comes together—don’t overmix.
- Turn dough out onto a floured surface, gently pat to about ¾-inch thick, and cut with a biscuit cutter or glass.
- Place on a baking sheet. Brush tops with buttermilk for a golden finish.
- Bake 12–15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
